Our packaging tubes are made from recycled micro plastic from when we harvest the wakame seaweed (however tubes not recyclable only made from recycled plastics)

• We have strived to be as sustainable as we can in producing these products! Micro plastics make up 92% of plastic pollution on the ocean’s surface and is increasing dramatically on the oceans floor as well. So, us using these micro plastics from when our seaweed is harvested to create our packaging tubes is a small contribution to reducing the oceans waste.

• Another couple of sustainability facts about plastics, converting used plastics into PCR (post-consumer recycled) raw materials to produce new plastics is keeping plastics away from land fill and the ocean. This reduces green house gases and our carbon footprint. 

 

• Recycling plastic rather than making things from oil, saves approximately 1 tonne of carbon dioxide emissions for each tonne of plastic that’s recycled. It also reduces the consumption of raw materials and production of waste.

• Our wakame (undaria pinnatifida) seaweed has so many amazing benefits!

• The wakame contains antioxidants, which help with rejuvenating, smoothing, moisturizing.

• The seaweed contributes to the formation of keratin protein that assists in thickening the hair.

• The wakame is super rich in minerals like zinc, iron, iodine, and omega 3 and 6 as well as vitamins A, B, C and E. These all help to create stronger healthier hair that is thick, hydrated and promotes growth.
